I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Joy as a teenager and she was so bubbly and funny I was immediately taken in with her. My friend, Cindy, and I would babysit for Joy quite regularly and I always enjoyed her company. I haven't seen her in years but thinking of her just makes me smile. I feel blessed to have known her. I will pray for your peace but I truly believe she is spreading her joy in Heaven.

A memory from Joys sister Jackie
Joy was a talented cook. One of her most well known accomplishments was her delicious Christmas almond letter. Each year her family and many friends looked forward to their annual gift. In our home we reluctantly shared it with outsiders. Before arthritis prevented her from continuing to make the almond letter , she shared one afternoon with Christine, Michelle and I and taught us how to make it.
Christine has continued the tradition and we lovingly remember Joy whenever we receive her gift.

I'll never forget the day, when we lived on Pleasant Lane, when Joy called me up and said she had a bird flying around her house and would I come down and get it out. She was panicked - went down to the house and opened the door and the bird flew out. Had a lot of laughs over that! Joy was a lot of fun, her laugh was infectious and she was a good friend. RIP Joy.
