My sisters and I used to walk with Annie to Roosevelt #10 school in Passaic. I remember her mom had a kitten that needed a forever home and we adopted it. May Annie rest in peace.

Annie was the reason Barry and I met at Passaic High School. Annie introduced us in 1968 and we’ve been married now for 44 years. It is with great sadness that we note her passing. We always thought there would be time to catch up. We send our condolences to her family and will always remember her fondly.

My thoughts and prayers are with you today Jim, Michael and Megan and family. Annie was my coworker and friend and had such an impact on my life. She was a mentor to me and I will never stop hearing her voice in my head, encouraging me and reminding me of my worth! She never stopped checking in on me when I had my own health scare. It meant so much to me. She was genuine. She told it how she saw it, she was truthful but never mean. (Unless you really deserved it). Her love for animals was contagious.( I can no longer kill spiders.) Michael, she was so incredibly happy when you found true happiness!! I am so glad she got to meet her beautiful grandson. I will never forget our crazy times at Select, our jokes and our conversations. I will miss Annie so much and will never forget what she taught me. I am grateful to have had her in my life.
Liz
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”

I extend my deepest condolences to Jim, Michael, Megan , Lucas and the rest of the Sincaglia family for this terrible loss.
Annie Wurf (Sincagilia) was my oldest friend. I remember laughing and arguing, feeding stray cats, playing hop scotch, jump rope, tag and hide & seek on Sherman Street in Passaic New Jersey back in the 1960's. We were next door neighbors and as close as sisters in those days ( in good times and bad).
Annie was very bright as a child. She was confident, pretty, and told the best scary stories on stormy summer evenings! I used to tag along with her when her Dad, Alfred Wurf, took her on outings on the weekend. ( he had a phone in his car!) and we used to go out for lunch with her doting Uncle Seymour. Such wonderful memories!
Annie always had a special love for animals - it was so appropriate that her middle name was "Kitty" and her last name was "Wurf". I used to call her "Annie Kitty WurfWurf" . (Anyone who knew her will see the humor).
Over the years we did not see each other as much but we kept in touch , never forgetting our bond and the memories we shared. Recently, when she and Jim moved to Wayne we made an effort to see each other more often, although Covid made it less frequent than we would have liked.
When I recently had a health crisis, Annie gave me enormous support. I got through it with a much more positive attitude because of her guidance. Annie was always interested in how everyone else was doing. She minimized her own health issues.
She was an advocate for those in need, and she was very good at it. She did not dwell on her own difficulties- she worked on making others feel better.
That is why she was successful in her chosen career.
Annie was fortunate to have found her soul mate and to have had the opportunity to build a loving supportive family unit. She adored Jim, Michael, Megan , ( brand new) baby Lucas and all the pups and kittens.
I cannot imagine how hard this loss is for the family. I am grateful to have had her in my life even though I wish we had had more time together. I will miss the text messages and the occasional phone calls from my old friend.
May the memory of Annie Sincaglia be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
I hope that Michael and Megan have some comfort in having given Annie the best present of all- the experience of holding her new grandchild in her arms!
