Mrs Katona and Jeannie,
I just found out about Rob. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. I have so many great memories of him especially in our senior year of high school. Rob and I saw every Rambo movie together and I think a few Rocky’s. I still have the photos of us in fatigues. I’m sure we drove you nuts with that stuff.
We worked our first real jobs together making and testing diodes in Towaco at CSDC after school and on Saturday mornings. When you moved away to the Carolina’s I was distraught and then one day he showed up in my architecture class! I can still remember that moment. It was like an answered prayer.
Rob was even there when Brandy my dog of 13 years passed.
I knew Rob longer than any other friend. We were in Mrs Wither’s kindergarten class together at Stephen J Gerace. Later we had the best time playing soccer when my dad was the coach of a rag tag team that came together to take 2nd place.
I’m so sorry I didn’t stay connected. It seemed my dad would run into Rob all the time but when I went to his store on a random visit I always missed him. I really regret taking for granted that there would be another time.
I’m so grateful that Rob and I were friends. The Lord truly blessed me with Rob as a friend. We had such fun and I just have the greatest memories of that time in my life.
I’m praying for you and that one day I will see him again in Heaven.
