Obituary of Gail Frances Geene

 Gail Frances Geene, 62, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She grew up in Pequannock, NJ, and graduated from Wayne Valley High School in 1979. Gail was a high-performing assembler at the Foundation for the Handicapped, Wayne, NJ for many years before moving to Phillipsburg, NJ nearly 25 years ago. There she lived happily with her roommates in a group home that was skillfully managed by The ARC of Warren County to meet the specialized needs of those born with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Gail continued her career at Abilities of Northwest Jersey in Washington, NJ until her retirement. She was an active member of Explorer Post 136 (special needs social group sponsored by the Pompton Lakes Elks Lodge 1895), a bowling and swimming champion in Special Olympics, and a dog lover.

Devoted daughter of the late Catherine (nee Vreeland) and Jack Geene. Dear sister of David Geene and his wife Patricia of Ogdensburg, Thomas Geene and his wife Salome of Randolph and Jill Notte and her husband Jerry of Fairfield. Loving aunt of Christopher Geene and his wife Nikki, Daniel and Seth Geene, Sherilyn and her husband Jason Tuthill, and Sara Jo and her husband Ross Martin. Cherished grandaunt of Shane, Ryan and Aidan.

Funeral Service on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, NJ, 529 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ at 10 AM.  Interment at Montville Reformed Church Cemetery, Montville, NJ.  Visiting at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Memorial donations can be made to The House of the Good Shepard, Hackettstown, NJ, or the ARC of Warren County, Washington, NJ.  To watch the funeral service via live stream, click here on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10 am.
