Obituary of Richard VanWinkle

Richard "RIP" VanWinkle 80, of Lincoln Park died on January 24, 2016 at home. Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Service will be on Friday at 10AM at the Funeral Home. Interment Rockaway Valley Cemetery, Boonton. Born in Lincoln Park, RIP was a life long resident. He was a truck driver with the Morris County Road Department for 32 years retiring in 1985. He served in The United States Army during The Korean Conflict. He was a member of The American Legion Post 279, Lincoln Park. He also was an elementary school crossing guard for 30 years in Lincoln Park. RIP also maintained many lawns in the town of Lincoln Park for over 50 years. He is the godfather of Brian and Wayne Wachtel and Tammy Wachtel-Schrader. Brother of Walt and Ken VanWinkle and Carol Urenovich. He was the loving and close friend of Robert Cardillo. In lieu of flowers donations to The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
