Sylwester Karaszewski Obituary

Sylwester Karaszewski, 87, of Fairfield NJ passed away on Friday October 18, 2024 at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston NJ. He was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1937. At age 7 he was a survivor of Auschwitz, along with his late mother and late sister. He immigrated to United States in 1985 and settled in Pine Brook, NJ before moving to Fairfield in 1992. He worked most of his career for Shop-Rite in West Caldwell, NJ. Sylwester’s passion was photography and he enjoyed good company. Sylwester was the devoted husband to Elzbieta, loving father to Klaudia and Marzena and a great father-in-law to Albert and Roman. He took great pride in being the grandfather to Alexander, Maximilian, Julia, Michael, Alexandra and Lucas. Funeral from Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park, NJ at 10 AM. Interment, Our Lady of Magnificat Cemetery, Kinnelon, NJ. Visiting on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 5-8 PM.
