Obituary of Harold H. Bardroff
Harold Bardroff was born on July 6, 1955, in Jersey City, NJ. He passed away on June 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Harry was a remarkable individual whose life touched the hearts of many.
Harry was the beloved son of Gloria Bardroff (nee Marchetti) and Harold Bardroff. He shared a deep bond with his siblings throughout his life: his older sister, Gloria (deceased) and her husband Ken, his little brother, Alan and his wife Christine, and his little sister, Laura and her husband Herb. To Harry, his nieces and nephews were like his own children: Herbie, Vinnie, Keith, Candice, Kristy, Kassie, Jessica, Al Jr., and Heather. He also adored his great nieces and nephews, treasuring every moment with them. Harry was married to Marie DiGisco, and though their paths eventually diverged, their shared history always remained a part of him.
During the 1970s, Harry served in the Navy aboard the USS Independence. His career journey was diverse, spanning computer programming, jewelry sales, Pickle King, and professional bass fishing. Yet, it was fishing that truly ignited his soul—a multispecies expert who loved sharing his passion with others.
Harry cherished the connections in his life. Whether enjoying the beach with family or sharing stories with Big Joe and the guys at the cigar room, his close-knit group of friends, he radiated warmth and joy. Harry was truly one of a kind. His infectious laughter and zest for life illuminated every room he entered. He dedicated his life to helping others, sharing his knowledge and wisdom through years of speaking engagements to educate people about AIDS. Harry's legacy lives on through the memories he created, the love he shared, and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A wake in honor of Harry Bardroff will be held at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, NJ on Monday, June 17th, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, with a service at 6:30pm. Following, a dinner celebration of Harry's life will take place at the American Legion Hall next door. All family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Spirit School in Pequannock, New Jersey, in Harry's name are kindly requested.
