Obituary of Chris Anastos

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christos (Chris) Nicholas Anastos at the age of 72 on May 8, 2024. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Emily (Mastalia), and their two children, Alexis Anastos and Gregory Anastos. Born in Paterson, NJ to Alice and Gregory Anastos. He leaves behind many loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence and who will deeply feel his absence. Chris was a graduate of New York University and George Mason Law School. He practiced law in Paterson, NJ for 25 years, where his expertise and kindness touched the lives of many.

A pillar of his community, Chris was loved by all who knew him. His warm smile and positive attitude would light up any room. Above all, he was a devoted husband and loving father, with an irreplaceable bond with his family. People described Chris as one of a kind — funny, kind-hearted, generous, and always making those around him feel special. He had a passion for golf, food, wine, spending time with his family and making people laugh. Chris leaves behind countless fond memories for his loved ones. His family and friends will treasure all the beautiful moments shared with him.
