Obituary of Carol Cecilia Como

Carol Cecilia Como, 78, of Montville, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024. 

Carol was born on December 24,1945, in Morristown NJ at All Souls Hospital to Margaret Sova and Patrick Condurso. 

Carol graduated from Parsippany High School in 1963, she went on to study at Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. After college she started a job at Bell labs in Whippany, NJ taking shorthand.

She married Michael R. Como on October 19, 1969 at the the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson, NJ. They lived in Lincoln Park NJ before moving to their home in Montville.

Carol is survived by her brother Tony Condurso, wife Helene Condurso. Her husband of 53 years, Michael R. Como and their daughters Michele L.Como, Patricia L. Sussman and son in law Jonathan E. Sussman, grandsons Jeremy & Lincoln Sussman, as well as her sister in law Donna Como.

She was a devoted member of St. Pius X Church in Montville, NJ and worked many years as an administrative assistant within the nursery and landscape community. She worked for Condurso’s Garden Center and most recently for Kohut and Sons.  She loved the beach, especially Cape May NJ where there are many fond memories of family summer vacations. 

Visiting on Tuesday, February 20,2024 at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ from 4-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at St. Pius X R.C. Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ at 10 AM.  Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
