I have many wonderful memories of Alyne, too many to mention. Some of my fondest include visits to their home in upstate New York, wonderful dinners at home, sitting at the kitchen table discussing politics with cups of tea and maybe cookies. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend and will be sorely missed.

I will miss Mrs. Elias as I have always known her as. I grew up next store the family and still to this remember her house phone #, cause if I couldn't get a hold of my mom, I was told to call Mrs. Elias. I was one those special few that enjoyed her delicious jam! I will miss seeing her in the yard and going over to talk to her. She was very kind, caring and sweet...I definitely do miss her, but know she is resting in peace.

Aunt Alyne was our matriarch, my godmother. She was a presence in my life and I will always miss her. Her cooking was renowned: freezer jam, chicken tarragon and clams Chablis to name a few of her best. Although she was a force to be reckoned with, she had a heart of pure kindness and devotion to her family. Rest easy with the angels Aunt Alyne. I know you are with Uncle Chris.

Sorry to miss your Moms Memorial but I will be away. I served on the board of adjustment with Alyne for a year or so as well as on the Town Council with Chris (we sat next to each other). For many years after Chris's passing I would see Alyne in her occasional visits to our hardware store or to what was then Lincoln Park Savings ( I was the President at the time). We always found time to chat when our paths crossed and I always enjoyed our conversations. Glad she lived a long and loved life. My deepest condolences, wish I could be there to extend them personally
