Joan and Ray to me ARE Lincoln Park and certainly Deer Run. They are my neighbors and my beloved friends. I can't imagine not seeing Ray outside greeting the dogs as they strolled with their owners. I can't imagine a day at the pool without Ray and his radio if there was a game. So many things are unimaginable without Ray here. While he is at rest, greeted by those lost before him, we are at a loss, we are sad. Thank you Ray for all you did for the community, you were one of the truly great men. Lou and I were so privileged to have known you. Watch over Joan, be her angel forever.

I'm saddened to hear of Ray's passing and offer my condolences to Jeanette, his children and family. Although I last saw Ray years ago at a Bergen Catholic HS reunion, I have fond memories of the years we spent sitting close to each other at BC, where in true Catholic school fashion, we were arranged alphabetically. He was a great guy with a great sense of humor and I enjoyed just being around him.
I read of his service in Lincoln Park and it touched a connection - my daughter Karen Gabel has taught in the elementary schol there for 30 years - a wonderful community.
I pray for peace and acceptance for you all. Rest in peace Brother Crusader.

Rest easy Ray. You were always a cool guy at Bergen Catholic. You sat in front of me in most classes, but you would never let me look over your shoulder during exams ! . Your family and town are proud to have you as a father and friend..

Joan, Tim and Sean:
I was so saddened to hear of your loss.
I have such fond and happy memories of our times together. Holiday dinners, football games especially all of the Super Bowls.
You were so gracious and generous to allow me to be a part of your many family gatherings.
I will never forget your kindness.
Ray, I will forever remember you whenever Iona plays Siena college.
May you enjoy the eternal paradise you so rightly deserve.
Joan, Tim and Sean:
May God comfort you at this most difficult time.

Ray had a great sense of humor and was an all=around great guy. Our best times were spent on the beach at Camp Lejeune.
He was a true gentleman and will be missed. My wife to be, whom I dated while at LeJeune remembers Ray and remarked what a really nice and fun person he was. Our prayers go out to his entire family.
