Obituary of Elaine Divak

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Divak, a beloved soul who touched the lives of many. Elaine departed from this world on June 15, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness.

Born on March 11, 1934, she graced the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her radiant smile, fierce personality, and unwavering faith brought light and joy to every room she entered.

Elaine was a pillar of strength for her family, a loving and devoted wife, a cherished mother, and a beloved grandmotherand great grandmother. She embraced her role as a nurturer and caregiver, selflessly pouring her heart into the well-being of her loved ones.

Elaine’s love for church extended beyond attending regular services. She actively participated as a Eucharistic minister and volunteered her time and talents for the better of the congregation. She enjoyed spending her leisure time golfing at North Jersey Country Club and her summers at the beach in Lavallette, NJ.

Elaine will live on through her loving husband of 65 years, Leonard Divak; children, Doreen Allaghi and her husband Ervin, Denise Crawford and her husband Timothy, Leonard Divak (Lenny), and Mark Divak and his wife Kathryn; sibling John Tabaka; grandchildren, Jay and his wife Brenna, Courtney and her husband Brian, Mackenzie and her husband Donald, Trevor, John (Jake), Kaila, and Alissa; and great grandchildren Austin, Charlie, Parker, and Logan.

We will be honoring Elaine’s life with a funeral mass on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament – Reconstruction Fund, in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

Elaine’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will forever shine brightly.

Rest in peace, dear Elaine.
