Richard Louis Gutches, loving husband, father, grandfather of 3, and accomplished musician, died on Tuesday June 13, 2023 after a prolonged illness. He was born on December 26, 1951 in Paterson, NJ, and lived most of his life in Wayne, NJ.

Rich graduated from Wayne Valley High School, Class of 1970. He studied classical guitar at the Mannes School of Music in New York, NY. His love of music and tremendous talent led to a lifelong music career playing with the likes of the Duprees, Time Machine, the Infernos and many others.

Cherished and loving husband of Debbie Gutches for 31 years. His son Richard E. Gutches was the light of his life and his lasting legacy. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents Joyce A. Gutches and Richard H. Gutches.

Caring stepfather to Erik Stones (Alexis) and proud grandfather of Zack, Corey, and Madeleine. Also survived by his Uncle Louis Gatti of Burlington,MA, Cousin David Gatti and his wife Candace of Winchester, MA, and their children. Further survived by countless relatives, friends, and music lovers alike.

Visiting hours will be Monday June 19, 2023 at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home 125 Main Street. Lincoln Park, New Jersey from 2pm – 6pm with a funeral service at 5pm. Cremation is private
