Edward E. Burns Obituary

After a brief illness, Edward E. Burns, 66, died May 21, 2023 in Lincoln Park, NJ. Ed was a lifelong resident of NJ, having lived in Morristown and other parts of Morris County. Ed was a class A mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. An amateur photographer, he enjoyed time outdoors capturing scenes in nature. Baseball was his sport; he was a talented pitcher in his younger years. He was also talented artistically and had the patience and eye for intricate work with jewelry and wood carving. He will be missed.


He was predeceased by his parents, Catherine (Horey) Burns and Joseph Alton Burns and his sister Veronica C. Burns. He is survived by his four brothers - Daniel (Gay Stevens) of Orland, ME, Philip (Kathleen Schultes) of Branchburg, NJ, Timothy (Lisa Bertagnolli) of Ponte Vedra, FL, and Patrick of Washington, DC, as well as his niece Emily and nephews Daniel, Colin, Evan, and Alexander. Edward will be laid to rest in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Addison, NY with his parents and sister on July 29, 2023.
