Obituary of Debora A Barbee

On April 24, 2023, Debora Ann Barbee of Garfield passed away unexpectedly. Born on July 7, 1959, she was only 63 years old. Her family is devastated by this unexpected loss.

 Debora is survived by her daughter Jerilyn Birkett, mother Dolores Barbee, brothers Douglas and Richard Barbee, her close friend Susan and her extended family. She was a lifelong, devoted New York Mets fan who attended every season's games until 2018, when a debilitating stroke rendered her disabled.

She is predeceased by her father, Edgar, and closest companions Vivian and Terry.

Debi loved a variety of outdoor activities and the sun. The beach and Citi Field were among her favorite locations to visit. She was exceptionally talented in sketching and calligraphy.

Debi was fiercely loyal to her friends and family, and she would always be there to help in some capacity. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated volunteer at the Elmwood Park Senior Center and a tireless worker. Her friends and family will always mourn her passing.
