How blessed was I to have you as my godmother. I have so many favorite memories of growing up visiting you on Sundays, Christmas & Easter. I remember just a few years ago you told how my dad would pop up at you house on Sunday just in time for dinner & we were always welcomed. You were my family not by blood but by love. Your daughters were like cousins to me & your niece's & nephew the same. And that will never change. You were a constant in my life even if times we butt heads. No matter because I always loved you & will forever carry you in my heart. This picture is the last time I visited you in 2019 before Covid hit & has been on my dresser & will remain there.
I love you Jo, soar with the angels & have one hellava reunion in heaven.

Our heartfelt condolences to Ann, Patty, Ginger and the rest of the Marino Clan. To eulogize her would be almost impossible. How do you sum up such a life. Born during the 1st World War, lived through the 2nd World War and every war after that. Survived two worldwide pandemics and managed to raise her family, both immediate and extended. I guess there isn't much she did not witness or experience, but she held onto her faith through thick and thin and she navigated every hurdle thrown in front of her. What was supposed to be the happiest day of her life also turned out to be one of her saddest as her beloved father passed the very same day. She would go on through the decades helping where she could and holding tightly to the love of her family. She watched all of them leave before her. Her husband, her mother, her baby brother and then her two beloved sisters. She watched nieces and nephews go before her. And yet she pushed forward with strength I have never witnessed. She stood by her three beautiful daughters, teaching where she could. She was tough and walked through life with a stern look at times, but her heart would break anytime any hurt came upon her girls. She loved them more than life. On a personal note, she yelled at me more than my own mother. Her favorite line was "You're lucky I wasn't your mother". It always made me smile. Her legacy is etched in stone and her memory will last the ages. She is in the arms of her loved ones. She now flies with the angels. Now can someone please tell me why I called Rosalie Manniello "Aunt Jo". I still don't understand.
