Madeleine was one of the kindest people I've ever been lucky enough to know. We became neighbors when she moved across the street from me at Nolan's Ridge and we quickly became friends. My favorite memory was when she insisted on taking me out for lunch for my birthday and then surprised me when all the girls were there at the restaurant to celebrate with us. The birthday club began that day and we had so many fun times together throughout the years. Such a wonderful person that truly cared for everyone she knew. She will be missed so much.

So sad to hear of the passing of Madeleine. Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends who cherished her. If baseball exists in heaven, we know that she is cheering her beloved Yankees. Go Madeleine! May her memory be a source of strength and hope to all who knew her.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Madeline’s death. I remember when I first moved into Nolan’s Ridge how warm and friendly she was. She has always been a loving person. I know how much she love her animals. Madeline was always great to be around she loved a good time.
I know that God has a special place in heaven for her because she always did good her on earth.
Rest in Peace Madeline

Madeline was a wonderful, funny, smart and kind friend. When I moved across the street from her I didn’t know how much she would change my life for the better. She introduced me to all her friends, included me in lots of fun activities…..birthday club, trips to the Paper mill, book club, She quickly became a special friend who I could count on. She loved to walk her little dog Zeke and she would stop by to chat and brighten my day. She was a fabulous sister and a good and valued friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

I don't even know where to begin to honor the memory of this incredibly wonderful friend. We met at Stokes State Forest while taking graduate courses in environmental education over 46 years ago. She and her family introduced me to horse racing and great Italian restaurants and I introduced them to cross country skiing. The saying that if you have one good friend in your lifetime you are lucky appliles to our friendship. All the trips to the shore, time on the beach, eating at great seafood restaurants, laughing and enjoying each others company was only a small part of our adventures. Madeline drove with me to Arizona when I moved here in 1981. Although she was able to visit once, air travel was not possible for her after awhile. We saw each other when I came back to Jersey to visit my brother's family and caught up with each other on the phone. Madeline always sent my girls birthday cards and then started sending them to the grandkids as well. Madeline touched many students during her teaching career in Jersey City and I know changed some of these young people forever with her guidance and love. Those who knew her were blessed by her spirit and presence. My heart will never be the same without her in the world. My sincerest condolences to John, Theresa, Joey and her dearest friend Lynn and her family.

Madeleine was a kind, warm, all around good person to everyone and she had a heart of gold; always willing to help others in anyway she could. I’ll always remember all the times she joined us at the racetrack; went with us to Broadway plays, going down the shore; going up to Lake George with Lynn to visit with John and I while vacationing there. She so enjoyed just spending time with those she loved. She will always be in my heart and remembered with love. Will miss her dearly as will her family and friends.

Madeleine and I met while attending many outdoor graduate classes at Stokes State Forest. After hours, we had so many incredibly fun times shooting pool, going out to dinner etc. at the local hangouts. She helped to make those days some of the best days of my life. I still laugh when thinking about them. (There's a story about a cow, but I won't go into it!) While we were still teaching, we had a standing commitment to meet up for lunch each year at the NJ Science Convention and catch up on our lives. After retirement we occasionally got together for lunches, dinners and even a Broadway play. Even though the past few years were difficult to get together, Madeleine kept in touch and never forgot to send me a birthday card. She was kind and thoughtful and will be missed.

I met Ms. Zeho during my elementary school years. She was my 8th grade teacher and I was the teacher’s pet. She was always with a smile on her face and loved being a Science teacher. I asked, Ms. Zeho to become my Godmother when I was 18 years old, she gladly accepted. In 2018 she walked me down the aisle when I got married since my mother had passed in 2014. She had a heart of Gold and was so humble. Ms. Zeho, I love you and will treasure you in my heart forever.
