Obituary of Lorraine A. Montera

Lorraine A. Montera of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away peacefully in her home on Friday November 11 surrounded by her family.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lorraine and her family moved to Lincoln Park in 1967 where she lived ever since. Lorraine was Secretary to the Principal of Pine Brook School for 25+ years and was very involved in the school’s PTO. A longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lincoln Park, Lorraine spent many hours at the Warming Bee knitting and crocheting items for families in need. She also volunteered her time at the local Food Pantry.

Even after she retired, she worked as a sales associate for Boston Louis Jewelers in Pompton Plains.

Lorraine’s husband, John predeceased her. She is survived by her children, Carol Grant (Husband Don), Denise Miller (David Arlt), Vincent Montera (Wife Jayne) and John Montera (Wife Rebecca), grandchildren Dayna Carloni (Husband Michael), Lauren Montera (Husband Jeremy), Michael Miller, David Miller and Nicholas Montera and three great grandchildren, Giulianna, Michael and Adelina Carloni. Lorraine was a family focused person and spent many hours with all of them at the Jersey Shore or in her backyard pool.

Funeral from Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11 AM.  Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Licoln Park, NJ at 12 noon.  Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemterey, East Hanover, NJ.  Visiting on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Atlantic Health Hospice or Alzheimer's Association .
