Obituary of Frank Polizzi

Frank Polizzi, 88, of Cedar Knolls, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022. He was born in Newark and lived in Lincoln Park for 57 Years before moving to Cedar Knolls 3 years ago. He was an Electrical Engineer and worked for Singer Kearfott in Totowa for 30 years and BTech in in Whippany for 7 years before retiring in 1999. He was a Staff Seargeant in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957. Frank was a member of The Jacksonville Chapel where he was the Christian Service Brigade leader and a Sunday School teacher. He was married to Gloria for over 62 years and they enjoyed spending many summers at Camp of The Woods in Speculator, NY.  For the last 20 years they enjoyed spending their summers together in Cape May, NJ. Frank had a fantastic and dry sense of humor that were loved by all.He loved to create and distribute mathematical puzzles especially to his grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Gloria Polizzi (nee Luz), his children Dale Jack and her husband David, David Polizzi and his wife Renee, and Donna Hawkes and her husband Jason. Dear brother of Lillian Rae. Grandfather to Matthew Jack, Brittany Cutrell, Hannah Shultz, Brad and Austin Polizzi, and Lauren Pierce, and Madison, Makayla and Parker Hawkes. Great-Grandfather of Cooper, Jack, Blake, Evelyn, Ava, Annie, Vincent, Oliver and Joelle.

Funeral 10 AM at The Chapel Sunset Ministry Center, 150 Sunset Road Pompton Plains NJ on Saturday July 9, 2022. Visiting on Friday from 4-8 PM also at The Chapel Ministry Center. Entombment Laurel Grove Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to The Chapel .
