Obituary of Genevieve Benson

Genevieve A. Benson, 82, of Wayne, NJ, passed away on Thursday June 23, 2022. She was born in Brooklyn NY and lived in Lincoln Park for 60 years before moving to Wayne 4 years ago. She worked at David Blair Printing since the age of 19, retiring as Senior Vice President in 1997 to start her own business as a Printing Broker for JLP Printing in Lincoln Park. She was a member and Trustee for the Women of Irish Heritage of NJ where she was nominated Woman of the Year in 2004. She was also the Brian Boru Woman of the Year in 2008. She was a member of the Lincoln Park Junior Womens Club, a committee member for the NJ Irish Festival, and worked the voting polls every election day for 25 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Christopher H. Benson. Genevieve is the mother of Christopher Benson and his wife Christobalina, and Shawn Benson and his wife Barbara. Dear sister of Ann Marie Larkin, Margaret Crysler and the late John and Matthew Larkin. Loving grandmother of Erin Benson. Beloved aunt to nieces and nephews and admired and loved by many friends.  

Funeral from Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy at St Joseph's R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park, NJ at 10 AM. Visiting on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Cremation is private.
