Vincent Joseph Blois Obituary

Vincent Joseph Blois was born on June 9th, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY to Italian immigrants Joseph and Rose Blois (née Gagliardi). He was the fifth of eight children.

He fought in WWII in the US Coast Guard in Greenland aboard a Coast Guard Cutter, and was on various islands and ships throughout the Pacific. When he returned home he was a firefighter for the Lincoln Park Fire Department, and then became a home builder. What he loved most in his life was his family. He adored his wife, his three children, and his three grandchildren. He also loved and remained tight-knit with all his siblings throughout their lives, as well as their children too.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years Ellen Blois (née Starr), his brother Larry Blois of West Milford, his children; Gary Blois of Lincoln Park, Jeanie Blois (Edward Kapusta) of Hawthorne, and Lori Blois (Paul Rosetti) of Hope, his grandchildren Olivia Blois-Sharpe of Astoria, Lacey Meyer-Rivera (Matthew Rivera) of Lebanon Township, and Maxx Blois-Rosetti of Nashville, as well as two great-grandchildren Willem and Nathan Rivera. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Jean, Connie, Ralph, Mary, Anne, and Dolores, his brother-in-law Arthur Starr, as well as cherished nephews Kevin, Ralph, and Robert.

Funeral from Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Monday at 9 AM, Funeral Liturgy at St. Josephs R.C. Church, 216 Comly Road, Lincoln Park, NJ at 10 AM . Interment at St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Boonton NJ. Visiting on Sunday from 2-5 PM.
