Joan Gloria (Breazeale) Sabbatino, wife of Anthony Sabbatino, passed away in New Jersey on April 8, 2022. She was the daughter of Otto Cody and Nora Hiott Breazeale of Greenville, South Carolina born on August 1, 1935. She was a graduate of Parker High School (The Mill Town Miracle). She met her husband Anthony, among the 165,829 attendees, during the July 1953 “New World Society of Jehovah Witnesses” Assembly at New York’s Yankee Stadium. They married and moved to Southern California, eventually relocating to Towaco, NJ during the 1970’s. They were married for sixty-seven years. She was a homemaker and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by her husband Anthony Sabatino, Sr of Towaco, NJ: Her children, Anthony Sabbatino, Jr of SC, Melanie Tackett of AZ, Michelle Vargo of NJ, and Brion Sabbatino of UT; six grandchildren, Grace Vargo, Travis Vargo, Kathleen Vargo, Christina Giblock, Dakota Sabbatino – all of NJ, Andrew Sabbatino of NV. She was predeceased by her sisters Madgeline B Nash and Judy Ping. She enjoyed getting together with her family in South Carolina and playing guitar and singing Country Music with her family. Sunday meals after meeting was a family tradition. Her education in art, music, and to follow one’s passion, was passed down to future generations. A memorial service will be held on April 23, 2022 at 2PM Eastern Standard Time via Zoom. Please contact zionbrion@msn.com and mel.garytackett@gmail.com for a link to the service.
