Obituary of Wilma Dreistadt
Wilma May Dreistadt entered eternal rest in Christ February 15th at the age of 81. Wilma was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ann Pearl Faull Dreistadt, and grew up in Paterson, NJ. She was all girl in the style of hats, gloves and dresses. She had grace and elegance. She was artistic and crafty, making Christmas corsages, wreaths, bows and deco which she sold. She enjoyed sewing and reading. When her mother had a stroke, she became her caregiver and after she died, she did that for an older lady for 3 years. She then worked in the office of Midlantic until they moved and then PNC. While working in the bank, she made money gifts which she sold to store customers. She had to stop because of arthritis. She and her sister Leona lived in Hawthorne. Later she moved to Summer Hill Senior Apartment in Wayne alone, where she made many friends, leading the singing for Bible study, dressing in costume for parties, a model for fashion shows, and librarian. All her life she faithfully attended the Christian churches where she lived, the last being Calvary Gospel. She is survived by her sisters, Leona Dreistadt and Myna Dumpert and her husband Paul. The funeral visitation will be Friday, February 18 at 10:00am followed by the service at 11:00am at Keri Memorial Funeral Home at 125 Main St. Lincoln Park, NJ. Interment will be at Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery on Maple Ave, Fairlawn afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Gospel Church, 1559 Hamburg Tpk., Wayne,NJ 07470.
