The miracle of the cotton plant Helen’s husband Vick’s family, had a cotton farm in Texas. And one time when Vic was traveling to Texas, George Boyle asked for a favor. He asked if Vic could, would he bring him back a cotton plant…. So Vic brought back a few. But traveling in the heat of the car took a toll. Sadly they looked pretty bad when they returned to New Jersey. So Vic and Helen decided to plant them in their own backyard and see if they would grow. Well the plants did poorly. So one morning George Boyle snuck over with some string and some cotton balls. He tied cotton balls on one of the plants. As I understand it, when Helen went out on her deck in the morning, and saw the blooming plant with cotton balls she said “It’s a miracle“
