Obituary of Richard Koehler

Richard Albert Koehler, 92, of Jackson, NJ,  passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021.  He was born in Haledon, NJ and lived there most of his life before moving to Jackson.  He was Sheet Metal Fitter for Continental Can Company in Paterson, NJ for 34 years.  He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as a radio operator during the Korean War.  He was an avid bowler and a huge New York Yankees fan.  He also loved to go camping.  Beloved husband of the late Carolee Koehler (nee Kupfrian).  Devoted father of Amy Looney and her husband Richard, Kim Heisler and her husband Joseph, Stephen Koehler and his wife Jasmeen and the late Gary Alan Koehler. Dear brother of the late Dorothy Marino.  Loving grandfather of Dawn, Brian, Christopher and Sean Koehler and Madeline and Anderson Looney,  Cherished great grandfather of Samantha, Joshua and Gage Koehler.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Service at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Friday at 11 AM.  Interment, Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.  Visiting on Thursday from 4-7 PM.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Eleventh Hour Rescue or Popcorn Park Animal Refuge .
