Obituary of Alfonse Paul Belluardo

Alfonse Belluardo, 95, passed away on July 27, 2021. He is survived by his six children: Ellen Corbiere and her husband Chuck, Philip Belluardo, Judith Belluardo, Paula Lawton and her husband Rick, Richard Belluardo, and David Belluardo; grandchildren: Jason Corbiere, Jesse Belluardo, Jacob Lawton, Jessica Kerske, Allison Lawton, Samantha Belluardo, and Autumn Belluardo; great grandchildren Jolie and William Lawton and Ava Kerske, and sister Marge Symons. Al was preceded in death by his wife Edith Belluardo of 38 years, his ex-wife Leona Belluardo of 20 years, his life partner Louise Baylis of 8 years, brother John Belluardo and sister Nancy Annichiarico.

Al was working at Ohaus as a mechanical engineer at the time of retirement. He resided in Lincoln Park for 40 years before retiring to St. Augustine, Florida, eventually returning to Lincoln Park in 2020.  Al will be lovingly remembered as an avid bowler and gardener, who also enjoyed fishing with his family. His lifelong passion was golf, which he enjoyed well into his 90s, and he was widely recognized for his perfect swing. He loved playing games and making others laugh right up until the end.

Al was a World War II Navy veteran and we honor his service.

The funeral mass for Al Belluardo will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Lincoln Park  on August 28 at 10 am followed by a military Honor Guard. There will be visitation beginning at 9:30 am. The repast will take place at the home of Chuck and Ellen Corbiere for family and friends. Donations may be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research in lieu of flowers.
