Obituary of Joseph D. McCabe

Joseph D. McCabe, 81, of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021.  He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and lived in Bloomfield, NJ most of his life before moving to Lincoln Park in 2001.  He was a Fireman for the Township of Bloomfield for 35 years and retired with the rank of Captain in 1997.  He was a member of FMBA Local No. 19, the past president of FMBA Local No, 219, the past president of the Bloomfield Relief Association and was named Bloomfield's "Irishman of the Day" in 1999.  Beloved husband of Gail McCabe (nee Cook).  Devoted father of David J, McCabe and his wife Virginia, Diane McCabe-Gelfand and Daniel J. McCabe and his wife Bree.  Dear brother of Robert and Maureen McCabe and the late Frances Stoughton, Lillian Nissen, Laura "Sandy" Palkowski and Richard and James Patrick McCabe.  Loving grandfather of Jillian, Joseph, Adelaide, Astrid and Aidan.  Funeral Service on Friday at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ at 10 AM.  Interment, Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.  Visiting on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
