Obituary of Joan B. Jacobsen

Joan Jacobsen (nee Barrett), 87, of Lincoln Park, NJ went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Joan was born in Englewood, NJ and lived in her dream home in Midland Park for 40 years before moving to Lincoln Park. Along with being a homemaker, Joan served the Lord through several Christian ministries, leading many to salvation in Christ. Beloved wife of Thomas Jacobsen for 68 years. Devoted mother to children Tom and Susan Jacobsen of Fair Lawn; Penny and Mathias Simon of Montville; Judy Jacobsen of Midland Park; Karen and Jay Maidenberg of Montville; andPeg and Rich Masi of New Windsor, NY. Cherished and loving “Nan” to 11 grandchildren, Mark, Jaclyn, Kevin, Chris, Jessica, Chris, Hannah, Emily, Rachel, Natalie and Barrett and “Nana” to two great granddaughters Eliana and Emilia. Dear sister to Buddy and Marilyn Barrett. Joan was predeceased by her sisters Peggy Lowensten and Judy Mahoney, and her grandson Daniel Scarella. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held on Sunday, June 13 at 4 PM at Abundant Life Worship Center,103 Jacksonville Road, Lincoln Park, NJ.
