Obituary of Thomas A. Brown

Thomas A. Brown, 80, of West Milford, NJ formerly of Paterson, NJ passed away on June 3, 2021. He was born in Neptune, NJ and grew up in Belmar, NJ.  While Tom was completing his studies at Maryknoll Seminary in NY, he met his loving wife Pam at a parish picnic in Mount Kisco, NY in 1967. The rest is history. They have spent 53 years together.

During his lifetime he was employed as an elementary teacher at Blessed Sacrament School in Paterson, NJ. Shortly afterwards he was hired by the Diocese of Paterson to work in the Office of Evangelization. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, a Civil War reenactor and history buff.

Beloved husband of Pamela A. Brown (nee Smith). Devoted father of David Brown and his wife Kellie of New Milford, NJ, Lynn Bonds and her husband John of Manhattan, Timothy Brown and his wife Alma of West Milford, NJ, Lee Brown and his partner Stephen Mirra of West Milford, NJ and Maria Brown of West Milford, NJ.  Dear brother of Tony Brown of Paterson, NJ and Karen Riley and her husband Bill of Whiting, NJ.  He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Veronica, his brother, Michael and his granddaughter, Abigail Brown.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Alexandra, Lena, Brody and Julia. 

Wake service will be held at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Monday, June 7 from 4-7 PM.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, 174 Ramsey Street, Paterson, NJ on Tuesday, June 8 at 10:15 AM.  Interment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
