Obituary of Chester L. Helms

Chester L. Helms died peacefully on January 24, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in Passaic, he grew up in Clifton and later moved to Rockaway Township. Chet worked as a salesman for Porky Products in Carteret NJ. Known as a competitive pool player and an avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time with his children and 5 grandchildren, and traveling with his wife in his retirement years. Chet was loved by all for his sense of humor, and easy going kind hearted nature. He is survived by his High School sweetheart and beloved wife of 47 years Barbara (Hatem). His children Kelly and husband Dave Anderson, Kimberly and husband Matt Hafer, and son Matthew Helms. His grandchildren Max, Zac, Samantha, Jacob and Kayla. His sister and brother in law Janice and Angelo Donato, and brother in law Richard Kaiser. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Phyllis and sister Wendy Kaiser.
