Obituary of Roberta Vander Naald

Roberta Vander Naald, wife of the late Rev. Cornelius Vander Naald, died peacefully at home on December 24, 2020. She was 100 years old.
Daughter of Victoria and James Evans, Roberta was born and raised in Lincoln Park, NJ. She worked for Chemical Bank on Broadway in New York City for 25 years and for Ploger Crane Service until the age of 95.
Roberta was preceded in death by Robert Ploger, father of their two sons Russell and Ronald, by her husband Cornelius Vander Naald, minister of the First Reformed Church of Lincoln Park from 1940-1948, and by her sister Thelma Ply and brother James Evans.
Roberta was a member of the First Reformed Church of Lincoln Park where she had taught Sunday School and was a member of the Youth Fellowship and the choir. She traveled the world during her lifetime and was devoted to her family and her cats.
Roberta is survived by her loving sons and their wives Russell and Sandra Ploger, Ronald and Carolyn Ploger, and four grandchildren Jason, Rachel, Lauren, and Renee Auerbach and her husband Cory.
Private arrangements were made by Keri Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Reformed Church of Lincoln Park, 60 Chapel Hill Road, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035.
