Obituary of Carol R. Nielsen

Carol R. Nielsen, 69, of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.  She was born in Indiannapolis, IN and was a longtime Lincoln Park  resident.

Loving daughter of the late Clarence Alfred Nielsen and Myrtle Rosebud Nielsen (nee Bratton).

Carol was employed at Morgan Stanley and it's predecessor firms for the past 33 years.

She received her BA in Psychology from Michigan State University.  She also received a Master in Arts in Developmental Pshychology from SUNY Buffalo and a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University.  

Carol served as a member of the Lincoln Park Board of Education for almost 20 years after first being elected in 2000.  She was passionate about her roll on the board and  always focused on what would be in the best interest of the students and teachers.  She loved attending school plays and events and was very proud of the students’ accomplishments. 

Carol was very proud of a Citi Quality Excellence Award she received in 2007 for the top quality work she produced. 

She was an avid reader and a long time member of the Lincoln Park Library book club.

She loved Judy Collins and regularly attended her performances whenever she was local.

Memorial Visiting will take place at Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ on Sunday, September 29 from 3-5 PM.
