64, of Towaco, NJ.

Passed peacefully on April 16, 2014 at home after a valiant two-year battle with brain cancer. Harry was a Lifelong Montville Resident. He attended Boonton High School.
Afterschool Harry was employed at and later became Proprietor of Towaco Sunoco for 20 years. In 1971 he became a Volunteer Firefighter at Fire District No. 2 in the Towaco section of Montville Township. He was Chief of the Fire Department in 1978 and was a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners from 1981 to 1990. He became Fire Inspector in 1993 and Fire Official in 1995. In 1990 Harry was appointed to the newly created position of District Administrator of Fire District No. 2 in Towaco where he brought the Fire Company into the 21st century with a new fire station, trucks and innovative office computer systems. With his industry knowledge he ran the Fire District successfully as a business. He served in this position for 20 years. In 2001 he served as Deputy OEM Coordinator for the Township of Montville for 11 years. Harry was completely dedicated to his community during his lifetime in Montville Township.
He was an avid bowler with the Ridge Runners League at Boonton Bowl for many years.
Beloved husband of Alice A. (nee: Hildebrant). Devoted father of Mary, devoted step-father of Jennifer (Beck) Sperry and her husband Daniel, Edward Beck Jr. and his wife Melanie. Loving grandfather (Grampy) of five grandsons Kevin, Michael, Jonathon Sperry, Edward and Jack Beck. He is survived by his sister Francis (Schaub) Sperry, niece Genea (Conyers) Rigoletti and husband Robert. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Elizabeth (Toth) Schaub and sister Patricia (Schaub) Conyers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to come and share a memory at Keri Funeral Home, Main Road, Lincoln Park. Visitation on Monday, April 21 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday April 22 at 11:00 AM at the Keri Funeral Home.
