Obituary of Donald N White

Donald N. White passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018, surrounded by his four children.  He was 94. 

He was born in New Brunswick, NJ on October 1, 1924 to Cornelius and Bertha White.  After graduating from Butler High School in 1943, he was drafted and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  He earned degrees at the Manhattan School of Music and Columbia University.

Donald taught music in PA and MD, and then married Jean Siegwarth.  He was a music teacher in the Fair Lawn school system for over 30 years.  He was a model railroad enthusiast, member of the church choir, the Bloomfield Symphony, and many musical groups.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 450.

He was a resident of Pequannock Township for over 80 years. He was active at St. Andrew/Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park, for over 50 years. 

Donald is survived by his wife Jean; children, Carolyn Sargent, Jennifer (Scott) Bleecker, Cynthia (Bob Kenny) White, a devoted son; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister Judith Salvatori; two nephews and two nieces.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Keri Funeral Home of Lincoln Park.  Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park, NJ. Visitation before and immediately after service.  Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Research Foundation would be appreciated.
