Obituary of Leona F Griffith

Leona F. Griffith 99, of Lakewood formerly of Lincoln Park died on February 4, 2018. 

Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Friday 4-8PM.  Service will be on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home.  Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

Born in Newark, Leona lived in Lincoln Park most of her life before moving to Lakewood in 1985.

   She worked in The Benefits Department at Cyanamide Corporation, Clifton for 48 years.  Leona was a member of The Lincoln Park Women's Club.  Leona volunteered at The  Kimball  Medical Center in Lakewood for 30 years until the age of 90.  She bowled at The Ocean Lanes, Lakewood until last spring and at the age of 98 achieved a high score of 235.  She also loved to golf and travel.

She is the beloved wife of the late George "Duke"  Griffith.  Mother of Elaine Smith (late Robert), Donna Weiss (Val) and David L. Griffith.  Sister of Barbara Brady and the late Genevieve Delzangle and Joseph Loeffler.  Grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
