Obituary of Edward Jenisch Sr

Ed Jenisch, Sr., age 82, of Lincoln Park passed peacefully on December 6. Born on October 16, 1934 in Union City, NJ, he lived there until 1957 when he married Claire Albrecht and they settled in Pequannock. There they raised 3 boys, until Claire unexpectedly passed in 1982. Ed was a marketing manager for Triangle Publications and the New York Times before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Pequannock Republican Club and the Wayne Elks Lodge. He also enjoyed boating and camping with his good friends John and Joyce Steible and Chuck and Fran Franz. In 1988, Ed married Margaretta McKeown and together they enjoyed visiting Ireland and Alaska, as well as attending many of their grandchildren’s events. Ed was also fond of scaring his grandchildren with hideous masks on Halloween! Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Margaretta, and children Ed, Jr. (Ruth), Dave (Cathy), and Glenn (Nichole) Jenisch, Deborah McTernan, Terri O’Gorman, and Brian O’Gorman. His grandchildren are Matthew, Christi (Stalcup), Kaitlyn, Katrina, Kelly, Dylan, Sydney, Jacob, and Madison Jenisch, along with Erin and Kelsey O’Gorman and Megan McTernan. Visitation at Keri Memorial will be Friday, December 9 from 3-6 pm. The funeral will be at 10 am on Saturday, December 10, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
