Richard F. Lovallo 93 of Lincoln park died on 4/20/15. Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Thursday 6-9pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Services will be on Saturday at 9:30am at the funeral home. Entombment Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Born in Newark, Mr. Lovallo lived in Lincoln Park since 1958. He organized and successfully ran The Lincoln Park Recycling Program and received The National Award from The EPA. He was active with the Lincoln Park Boy Scouts and was an Assistant Scout Master with Troop 170 and was a Merit Badge Counselor. He was a Journeyman Printer with Mattia Press a family owned business in Belleville for 36 years retiring in 1984. He served in The United States Army during World War II and participated in The Normandy Invasion as well as The Battle of the Bulge. He was the recipient of The Purple Heart, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Ribbon, and The European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with One Bronze Battle Star. He was a member and Past Grand Knight of The St. Joseph's Church Knights of Columbus Council 5486, Lincoln Park, member of the American Legion Post 279, Lincoln Park, member and Past Commander of The DAV, Parsippany and was active with The 30th Infantry, Old Hickory Division, Rochester, N.Y. He is the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Bernice Belbey Lovallo. Father of Marie (Eddie) Dunn and Richard (Jennifer) Lovallo, Jr.. Grandfather of Sophia, Anna, Marcus and Michael. Brother of the late Lucy Hamilton, Evelyn Day, Marcus and Theodore Lovallo. In lieu of flowers donations to The WIC Program of Paterson would be appreciated
