Obituary of Frank Warholic

Frank Warholic 88, of Towaco died on November 19, 2018 at home.

Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Friday 2-4 & 6-8PM.  a Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Saturday at 10AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Boonton.  Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Boonton.

Born in Garfield, Frank lived in Passaic before moving to Towaco in 1959.

He was a Physical Education Teacher at Franklin School #3 in Passaic for 40 years.  He also worked as Rural Route Mail Carrier for The United States Postal Service in Towaco and Montville for 25 years. He also worked part time as Director of Recreation in Montville for 4 years.

Mr. Warholic served in The United States Army during The Korean Conflict.

He was a charter member of The VFW Memorial Post 5481, Montville and Post Commander for 18 years.  He was designated All State Commander for two consecutive years of the VFW and at the same time received many awards and accolades for his work with The VFW. 

Frank was also a member of The Frank Paterson American Legion Post 43 Florham Park and was a volunteer for 25 years at The Lyons Veterans Hospital for The Monday Night Dance.  He also was a tremendous animal lover.

He is the beloved husband for 63 years of Mary Ellen Wilson Warholic.  Father of Mary Catherine Fox (Edward) and the late Susan Marie Barnish-Warholic.  Brother of Helen Bartlo and the late Ann Warholic and Mary Kania.  Grandfather of Craig, Andrew, Frank, Mallory, Michael and Gregory.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Montville Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
