Obituary of Doris Magill
Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Doris Magill (nee Mulligan) passed away on September 15 at Chilton Memorial. Doris was born in Newark and raised in West Caldwell and lived in Cedar Grove before moving to Lincoln Park 60 years ago. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, Berkeley School and County College of Morris. She was a craftsperson and a basket weaver who enjoyed attending John C. Campbell Folk School for many years. She was employed by the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, Lincoln Park Library and Montclair State University. Active in Junior Women's Club and Garden Club, she was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and was an original member of the Lincoln Park Library Board of Trustees. Doris enjoyed Camping and RVing with her family and vacationing with her grandchildren on Martha's Vineyard.
Predeceased by her parents James and Bertha Mulligan and her brother William, she is survived by her husband Robert, Two sons, Robert (Nancy) and Commander Glenn (Andrea); and her daughter Susan (Gary) Weigel; two grandchildren Courtney and Sean Magill. Also by her sister-in-law Carole Mulligan and her nephew William and her niece Janet.
