June 17,2015 at 1:15pm, Dana Jordan Morris died peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born Nov.21,2001 at 8:15pm in Ridgewood , NJ. At one and a half months old she was diagnosed with severe stenosis of her heart and had open heart surgery followed 2 months later by several heart catheterizations. She has left behind her loving family , parents Darren and Karin , sisters Brooke and Sydney, Pop-pop Norman Shattuck and the late nana Jayne Shattuck (Dana's #1 fan), dedicated grandmother and hospital roommate Madeline Morris and late grandfather Frederick Morris. Uncle Kenneth Shattuck and his wife Jamie and their children, Dana's cousins, James and Audrey. Darren brothers and Dana's cousins Ryan , Ricky, Alexandra and Kiara Morris.She loved her family above all. She enjoyed watching her favorite shows Family Feud , Christmas Story, Hairspray, Grease and Barney. In her earlier days she liked to lick cheese doodles and drink Yoohoo. Dana had a magnetic personality that touched everyone she met. She had a way of touching everyones heart with her wide smile, beautiful eyes and silly personality. She made even the darkest days seem brighter. Even with all Dana endured she never complained and fought like a true champion. She will be sorely missed by all she touched. We are comforted knowing she is pain free now in her nanas arms. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation for the love and care Dana received at Montefiore Children's Hospital in the Bronx. How they rallied with her and rolled out the red carpet for her upon her release after an 8 month stay in the ICU. Also, would like to thank Preferred Nursing and Dr. Blecherman of Pediatric Arts and Dr. Hsu of Montefiore. Thank you to our friends and family who always expressed their well wishes and prayers, who never tired listening to Danas trials and victories. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE AN ANGEL.
