Obituary of Arthur Astone

Arthur Astone age 85 passed Sunday at home.  Born in Brooklyn he resided in Towaco before moving to Lincoln Park 50 yrs. ago.   Art was an  installer for N.J. Bell / ATT from 1955 retiring in 1993. Having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War he was very active in American Legion Post # 279 , Lincoln Park serving as commander in 1970 and 1995. Pre-deceased by parents Genevieve and Arthur Astone ,  son Andrew Stessel , brother Leonard Astone and stepfather Philip Schneider. Survivors include his wife Ruth , daughter Nancy Rinaldi and husband Mike , son John Stessel and wife Annie , sister Bonnie O'Connor , brother Philip Schneider , daughter-in-law Debbie Stessel grandchildren Jennifer , John and Samantha Stessel .  Visitation at Keri Memorial Home , 125 Main St., Lincoln Pk. is Thursday , Apr. 12 at 2 - 4 & 7 - 9pm followed by private cremation Friday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Lincoln Pk. American Legion Post #279 would be greatly appreciated.
