Obituary of Lillian A. Vaillancourt

Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lillian passed away peacefully at home where she lived with her husband, Jack of 66 years.  She was born on April 1st, 1930 in Paterson, NJ to Fred and Lillian (DenBraven) Aug.  Lillian married Jack Vaillancourt on July 6, 1952 where they built their 1st home in Lincoln Park, NJ in 1956.  After vacationing in the Adirondacks (as she referred to as "God's Country") for years, they retired to Day, NY in 1993.

Lillian was a wonderful daughter, wife, loving mother, adored grandmother and cherished great-grandmother.  as a a mom, Lillian was her children's biggest fan at sporting events, driving them all over in her Suburban and never missing a game.  Shewas a Girl Scout Leader for many years and mentored the camping group.  

Lillian was adedicated LPN working at St. Barnabas Hospital.  She furthered her career as an RN working in a private medical practice until she retired.

At Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, Lil spent hours volunteering at the Serendipity Thrift Shop where she was affectionaltely known as the curtain lady.  She was involved with the TLC - The Ladies Group.  She was a gifted seamstress and created many beautiful pieces.  Lillian started "Wind Sox and Flags" where she sold her creations and also a member of Hudson River Piece Makers Quilt Guild.  

Lillian is survived by her husband, Jack, sons David and his wife Maureen of PA, Mark (deceased) and his wife Carol of NY, Fred and his wife Sue of NJ and Daughter, Jacklynn of NJ.  Lillian was blessed with Grandchildren; Tara, David, Tori, Corey, Ashley, Chelsea and great-grandchildren; Abigail, Billy, Jason, Brennan and Dante. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 4-8 p.m.  Service at 7 p.m., Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035.  Private burial will be held Wednesday, August, 8, 2018.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 a.am. with luncheon to follow.  Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, 7 Lake Avenue, Lake Luzerne, NY 12486.
