Obituary of Alberta E Tennant

Alberta E. Tennant (nee Smith) 86, of Pompton Plains died on November 14, 2015. Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Tuesday 4-8PM. Services will be on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Born in Paterson, Mrs. Tennant lived in Lincoln Park and Haskell before moving to Pompton Plains 23 years ago. She was a Hostess at Lydecker's North Wood Inn, Butler. She was a longtime member for over 60 years of the Wanaque Community Church and a volunteer for over 20 years at Chilton Hospital. She received great joy in attending all her family gatherings. She is the beloved wife of the late William H. Tennant. Mother of Robert (Renee) Tennant, Sandra (Robert) Schultz and Nancy Tennant and her husband Chris Wenzel. Sister of James and John Smith, Margaret Krum, June Dixon, Dorothy Simpson and the late Etta Osborne. Grandmother of Adrienne, Lauren, Jill, Erin and Carly. Great Grandmother of 9 Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
