Antonio Postiglione 76, of Pompton Plains and Englewood, Florida died on May 8, 2016. A Memorial Mass will be officiated on Saturday at 12noon at St. Josephs Church, Lincoln Park. Born in Tito, Italy, Mr. Postiglione came to The United States in 1956 and lived in New York City, Rockaway and Butler before settling in Pompton Plains. He was a self employed building contractor all his life. He was the first building contractor to erect an eighteen story building on only a 25 by 80 size building lot. The building was located on 86th Street between 1st and 2nd Ave. He accomplished all this without a formal education. Mr. Postiglione was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending the summer months at his residence in Englewood, Florida. He is the father of Anthony, AnnaMaria, Frank, Maryann and Stefano Postiglione, Theresa Cardaio, Angela Porr and the late Gregory Postiglione. Brother of Rose Monetti and Mary Zacharias. Grandfather of 14 Grand Children. Former husband of Anna Savino Postiglione
