Obituary of Kimberly Ann Lane

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Kimberly Ann Lane announce her passing at the age of 40.  Our beloved Kim died peacefully Thursday, May 3, 2018, after a heartbreaking battle with Picks Disease.  Kim is now in the arms of her beloved brother Robert (Bobby) Lane and father John C. Lane.

Kim is survived by her mother, Joan E. Lane (Silbernagel), sister, Karen Lane Kirby, brother, John Lane, niece Jessica Merkel and many dear aunts, uncles, loving cousins and adoring friends.

Kim was a beautiful young woman with an unforgettable smile and an uninhibited, contagious laugh.  She grew up in Pompton Lakes, N.J., graduated with the "Cardinals", then attended The University of Hartford, where she earned a degree in Art History.

She was an accomplished professional in the contemporary art world, working as a registrar at Christie's, Gladstone, 303, and Gavin Brown Galleries.  She was cherished by all who knew her; her adventuresome spirit took her on travels throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle east.  Kim's sharp wit and genuine and loving soul will be forever missed.

Please join us in a memorial service at St. Mary's Church in Pompton Lakes, N.J. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10AM.  After the service, there will be a celebration of Kim's Life at The Pompton Lakes Elks Lodge.  Arrangements are by The Keri Memorial Funeral Home, Lincoln Park.
