William’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

To the family of William O Dowd
Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ for some may say. For words of encouragement please go to JW.org
Sincerely,
Roberta

This breaks my heart after 30 plus years. Billy was dear friend and client. He always spoke highly of my dad and our family history together...there was humor and good cheer. A true legacy! His body gave out but all that know Bill will attest to his wonderful spirit and soul which live on. He filled every measure of a great father as witnessed by his children. He was loving husband as witnessed by Lorretta's untiring love and devotion. Billy and I never had a coarse word. It was a true honor to have been his lawyer all these years! I hope my dad gives him a pat on the back when he arrives at the Gates!
