Elmer Kitchell 95, of Towaco died on August 8, 2016 at home.
Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Thursday 4-8PM. Services will be on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment Montville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Towaco.
Born in Butler, Mr. Kitchell was a lifelong resident of Towaco.
He was a plant foreman at Fritzsche Brothers, Inc, Clifton for over 40 years. He was a member of The Montville VFW Post 5481.
Mr. Kitchell loved his country and was proud to serve in the United States Army during World War II. He was the recipient of two Purple Heart Medals, the Silver Star Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal. He was just as proud when both his sons, grandson and great grandson elected to serve their country in the United States Military.
He is the beloved husband of the late Nancy Ebeling Kitchell. Father of Robert (Diane) Kitchell, William (Doris Rivezzo) Kitchell, Eileen Kitchell and Sue Tichenor. Grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
