Obituary of Milton L Matthews

Milton L. Matthews 95, of Verona died on November 26, 2015. A Memorial service will be officiated on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 11am at the Keri Memorial Funeral 125 Main Street Lincoln Park. Mr. Matthews was raised in Newark, had many friends and worked summers at the shore. Then enlisted in the US Navy Coast Guard NY,1941, then served in Guam and Philippines to 1946. He married Joan Heydt in 1947 and moved to Verona. He worked at Prudential for 39 years. Milton (Matty) was a sports enthusiast, actively managed all of his 3 sons Little League Teams and supported all his families' events and gatherings. He was an avid Yankee Fan, and loved the summers with his family and friends at the NJ shore. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Catherine Kirchner Matthews, brother Walt (Midge), wife Joan, son Kenneth, and he is survived by his children Douglas (Randy), Robert (Cecilia) and Diane Matthews. Grandfather of 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
