Obituary of Barbara M Mabey

Boonton Township – Barbara Martha Mabey, 91, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in New York City, she was a resident of Boonton Township for many years. Mrs. Mabey attended and received her master’s degree from William Paterson College. She was a school teacher for the Grover Cleveland Junior High School in Caldwell, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the former White Hall United Methodist Church (now Montville United Methodist Church), served the church as a Youth Fellowship Leader, Junior Fellowship Leader, and was the organist for White Hall UMC and Rockaway Valley UMC. Mrs. Mabey was an avid bowler, and enjoyed camping and RVing. Survivors include three children, Susanne King, Bruce Mabey, and Kathy McMannus, seven grandchildren, ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035 (973) 694-1582. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at the Montville United Methodist Church, 29 White Hall Road, Towaco, NJ 07082 on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Everyone should meet at the church by 10:30 AM. A private cremation will follow at a later date.
