Anthony F. Falduto 100, of Towaco died on February 22, 2016. Visiting will be at The Keri Memorial Funeral Home 125 Main Street Lincoln Park on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 , Mass Fri. 10am at St. Pius X Church , Montville followed by interment at Gate of Heaven , E. Hanover. Born in Montville where he resided all his life , Anthony owned and operated 4 coin op dry cleaning stores. He served in the Army during WW-2 at the Battle of the Bulge , his unit the 695th Field Art. Battalion took part in the capture of 40,000 enemy troops , his unit was trapped Sept.7th thru 15th with no supplies and little ammo and were awarded the Presidential Citation after 283 days without rest , Tony rec'd. the Bronze Star , 2 purple Hearts the French Medal of Honor and returned to the U.S. a Staff Sgt. upon return to the states his unit was reorganized into the N.J. Nat'l. Guard as 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery Assoc. He served as Vice Commander of The Northern Chapter of the 112th Artillery Assoc. His love and devotion to family was obvious to everyone , he enjoyed gardening , cooking , photography and community volunteer work. He was predeceased by his child hood sweetheart/wife Frances in 2004. Surviving are daughters Laura Wilson (Kenneth) , Sheila Klein , son Dennis grandchildren Ann Frances Wilson , Jane Falduto and Kate Falduto , his sister Mary Rae and brother Gerald. Download
